Dear friends:

I just called my state legislators to ask him to support the Commonwealth's parks.  Next year's budget threatens to move all responsibilities for care, control and maintenance of the parkways from the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) to the highway department (Mass Highway).  Our parkways should stay with our parks agency - DCR is the best fit agency to make the decisions that affect our parks.

Please call your state legislators TODAY and tell them to leave parkways under the jurisdiction of our parks agency.
