Seal Finds It’s Way Up The Charles River

By Matt Ledin

WBZ TV, Thursday, October 21, 2010

BOSTON (CBS) — Seals in the harbor are nothing new to Bostonians, but a little guy has been spotted in the Charles River in recent days…and the New England Aquarium is worried about the upcoming Head of the Charles Regatta.

The aquarium’s Tony LaCasse says the seal probably got into the Charles through the locks when a recreational boat was going up-river.

The public is asked not to bother the seal and don’t try to feed it.

This is thought to be the first time this has happened in about 20 years.
