CRWA Annual Earth Day Cleanup on the Charles River

CRWA will mobilize over 3500 volunteers from over 100 neighborhoods throughout the 35 towns and cities in the watershed from schools, corporations and other non-profits to participate in a multi-site shoreline clean-up. Each year since 2000, CRWA organizes this event with MA Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), The Trustees of Reservations, The Emerald Necklace Conservancy, The Esplanade Association, the City of Newton, Charles River Conservancy and Senator Tolman’s Office.More information.

CRWA Run of the Charles Canoe and Kayak Race

New England's largest canoe and kayak race, held each April, includes 6, 9, and 19 mile races, a 24-mile, five-leg canoe relay race, and a 26-mile professional marathon.

The 30th Run of the Charles Canoe & Kayak Race seeks sponsors for this year’s race.  Your sponsorship can provide you with significant exposure to CRWA members, racers, and others.  Most levels of sponsorships include an entry in the 24-mile relay race, a great team building opportunity. More information.

CRWA Champions of the Charles

Biannually the Champions of the Charles gala recognizes a true champion whose passion and work has helped revitilize the Charles River. This festive evening features cocktails, a dinner of local harvest fare, a lively auction, and the opportunity to enjoy an evening with those who share a passion for the Charles.
