talented volunteers CRWA conducts monthly sampling at 35 sites along the
Charles River. At 6 am on the third Tuesday of every month, volunteers measure water temperature and depth, and collect samples which are analyzed for
E. coli bacteria. E. coli bacteria does not directly cause adverse health effects, but as an indicator bacteria it reveals the likely presence of harmful bacteria and viruses.
