Register donation coupons available
at all ten Whole Foods Markets in the watershed to support the Earth Day Charles River Cleanup and CRWA. Please shop at Whole Foods and make a donation to CRWA through this special opportunity, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same – it is as easy as tearing off a coupon and adding it to your shopping order! Look for CRWA representatives at Whole Foods during the month distributing literature and talking to shoppers about CRWA.

 Wednesday, April 18  "Wear on Earth" event, 7-10pm, at OM Restaurant, Harvard Square, Cambridge. In collaboration with 4March Designs and OM Restaurant, Pyara Salon is hosting an event featuring performances, music, a silent auction and a fashion show.  All proceeds from the evening will go directly to CRWA.  Tickets are $100 and may be purchased by calling 617-497-4036 or emailing contactus@pyaraaveda.com

Tuesday, April 24 Brown Bag Lunch with students from Northeastern presenting a feasibility study for daylighting the Stony Brook at Northeastern University, 12:30pm at CRWA Office.

Wednesday, April 25   Event at the Beacon Hill home of Sharon and Brad Malt, co-hosted by Meredith and Gene Clapp. Learn how CRWA is working to improve the health, beauty and accessibility of the river, 6-8:30pm.   • 25th Annual Run of the Charles Canoe and Kayak Race

  • CRWA water and science theme park at Herter Park, part of the Cambridge Science
    Festival, 10am-3:30pm. CRWA is transforming Herter Park into a festive theme park which celebrates and educates about life in the Charles River and in its watershed.   Everyone is invited to view exhibitions, board a riverboat for an Eco Boat trip, experiment with a watershed model and celebrate the introduction of 1.5 million juvenile American Shad into the Charles River.

Tuesday, May 1 "Watertown River Symposium: An Afternoon About the Charles", with local schools and CRWA sharing water quality monitoring results and observations with the public and environmental organizations, 3-6pm at Watertown High School
