1) Donate to CRWA and win Jack Johnson tickets
Donate $35 or more to CRWA before July 31, and be entered to win tickets to see Jack Johnson’s at the Tweeter Center! Support CRWA’s science and advocacy work to protect the health, beauty and accessibility of the Charles, and you’ll be entered into a drawing for a pair of tickets to the August 6th show. Each $35 donation qualifies for an entry, so if you donate $70, you’ll have two chances to win tickets.
CRWA is partnering with Jack Johnson as one of five local organizations that was invited to participate in the “Village Green”, promoting environmental awareness during the concert. Come visit our booth at the show and learn how you can help with our work to promote clean and abundant water in the Charles River.
For more information or to donate via Paypal, go to http://www.crwa.org/jackjohnson.html, or contact Leigh Heffernan, CRWA membership coordinator, at 781-788-0007 x231. Thanks for your support!
2) Help CRWA win $4000!
CRWA is being showcased during an in-store campaign and promotional event at Patagonia Boston from June 10 through July 19. During the entire campaign, customers can vote on which cause is most worthwhile, and the winner receives a $4000 donation from Patagonia. Please stop by the Patagonia store on Newbury Street and vote for CRWA!
The store is at 246 Newbury Street (between Mass. Ave and Hereford St), and hours are Mon -Thu 10am-7pm, Fr & Sa 10am-8pm, and Sun. 11 am-6pm; no purchase is necessary to vote. CRWA will be present at the store on Sunday, June 22, so stop by and see us. For more information on the campaign, read Patagonia's press release.
3) Join us for desserts at Jackson Pond
Join us in Dedham for a relaxing summer evening with neighbors and friends of our gracious hosts, the Saunders. You'll have a chance to hear about what CRWA is doing about ponds and streams that are running out of water, from CRWA Executive Director Bob Zimmerman. This event will take place on Wednesday, June 25th at 7:30pm. TO RSVP, please contact Leigh Heffernan. Click here for contact information.
4) Save the date: Green Masterpieces concert July 16
Join CRWA on Wednesday, July 16th at 7:00 pm at the Hatch Shell on the Esplanade for the 2nd Annual Green Masterpieces: Air and Water, an evening of free outdoor music inspired by nature. The night promises to be an exciting celebration of clean air and water, and the performing arts. This year’s program features a newly commissioned whale piece, Speak, Sing, Whale, and will feature Handel’s Water Music and Smetana’s The Moldau. Come early, from 5-7pm, for a family-friendly Earth Fest featuring live animals, sea creature touch tanks, speakers, and Calvin the Whale.
CRWA has premium reserved seating available, and prepackaged picnic lunches can be reserved for $20. For more information, contact Peggy at 781-788-0007 x235. This will be a carbon-neutral concert!
