Issue I, Volume 1.  April 1, 2003.

Dear Friends of the Charles River-

Spring has arrived -- no doubt about it.  Up by our new building in Waltham, the river is swollen and rapid with the spring thaw.  It’s time to get back on the river!  In this, our inaugural issue of “The River Current,” we would like to tell you about the myriad activities happening this April around the Charles and in your hometown.

Other newsletters will follow in the coming months, updating you on our current advocacy alerts and how you can become involved, informing you about the health of the river, and inviting you to activities and events sponsored by CRWA and our friends.  As a member of CRWA, you are automatically subscribed to The River Current.  If you would like to be removed from this list (but, rest assured, you will still be a valued member of CRWA), please reply to with the word “unsubscribe” somewhere in the subject line or body.

We look forward to seeing you out and about on the river this spring!

-The Staff of Charles River Watershed Association
