CRWA ACTION ALERT
PARKLANDS AT RISK!
This week, the House and Senate conference committee
will decide the fate of statewide environmental and parkland management!
CRWA urges you to make 4 calls or send 4
faxes THIS WEEK! Make your position known by contacting the two chairs of the
conference committee (Senator Therese Murray and Representative John
Rogers) and your own state senator and representative.
After rejecting Governor Romney's article 87
reorganization proposal last week, the legislature has taken the issue
into their own hands. Both
chambers adopted some form of environmental agency reorganization in their
budgets. This week, the
conference committee will select what parts from each version they will
bring out for a vote. CRWA
supports the Senate's version, and we urge you to let the legislature
know what you think. Follow the link to our website for a detailed commentary on
the proposals, a sample letter for inspiration, and the phone and fax
numbers of the conference committee chairs and your representatives and
senators. Your opinion really
does matter, and letters, faxes and calls do influence
legislators, but you must act this week.
Thank you in advance!
