RIVER ADVOCATES

Training local advocates to be the eyes and ears of the river.

We all have a role to play in climate action.

There’s no doubt about it–––facing the climate crisis is a daunting task. If we are going to have a chance at solving the climate crisis, we need bold, swift actions at every level: global, federal, state, local, and even individual.

If you find yourself thinking “What can I do?” you’re in the right place.

Our River Advocates Volunteer Program aims to create a cohort of strategic, passionate, and educated advocates who are willing to stand up for clean water & climate resilience. We're looking for budding climate leaders in each of our thirty-five watershed communities who are interested in pushing for climate-smart practices at the local level. Whether you are new to advocacy or have been in this fight for decades, we will help you take the next step to protect our river!

Everyone has a place at the decision-making table––including you! Our training will give you all the tips, tricks, and tools you need to know about to push your local leaders to take action now to protect our communities before it’s too late.
