Changes in CRWA's Environment
In April, Pam DiBona left CRWA to join Environmental League of Massachusetts
where she introduces and supports
legisla tion benefiting the environment of
Massachusetts. As CRWA's environmental affairs
coordinator, Pam advocated for water resources
protection and sound land use. She managed several important projects at CRWA including
the Holliston Environmental Zoning Project. We
miss Pam very much and look forward to
collaborating with her on statewide initiatives.
CRWA warmly welcomes Mary Crain Penniman as its senior environmental planner.
Prior to joining CRWA, Mary Crain worked for nine years at the MA Department of
Environmental Protection. She also has experience as a
consultant, a local conservation agent and an
environmental educator. Mary Crain has a bachelor's degree
in Horticulture and master's degrees in Landscape Ecology and Landscape Design. Among her
many assignments, she will work to improve access
and recreational activities along the river.
CRWA is pleased to announce that Margaret Van
Deusen will join us in August as deputy director/general counsel. An attorney with
20 years of experience, Margaret specializes in
environmental law, most recently as a partner at Rubin
and Rudman. Prior to private practice, she worked in
the Attorney General's office representing the state in
civil environmental enforcement litigation, agency
proceedings, major projects, and mediation. Margaret will
be focusing on environmental zoning, advocacy
issues, and permit decisions.
In August, Kate Bowditch and her family are departing for a year in Kenya. We wish them well!
