Charles River Boaters Can Help Stop the Spread of Nuisance Aquatic Plants
Water chestnuts reproduce by seeds; stems can reroot.
Water chestnuts can be spread to other rivers, lakes and ponds when you move your boat.
Please take the time to check your boat and trailer at spots indicated in the diagram below for water chestnut seeds and plant parts hitching a ride.
Dispose of plants and nutlets in a trash container.
