Watershed Science Internships

Job Description:

CRWA is seeking an intern with a background in GIS and geospatial analyses to work at our fast-paced, environmental non-profit. Intern responsibilities will include mapping water quality data and conducting geospatial analysis on a watershed basis (See webpages under “Our Work” menu for examples of typical projects). The intern may also be asked to assist with other office tasks such as internet research, data compilation, and administrative work. Internship schedules are flexible within normal business hours from Monday to Thursday. This unpaid internship requires a commitment of at least 8 hours a week and up to 24 hours per week for candidates who are interested in performing other tasks outside of GIS software. Preference is given to candidates who are able to make at least a four month commitment.

Desired Experience:

  • Graduate or undergraduate coursework in GIS
  • An interest in environmental and water issues, and a willingness to learn
  • Experience working in a team environment
