Join Charles River Watershed Association for its second Free Fun Friday on July 12th at DCR's Herter Park! There will be music, food, and free activities throughout the day. Charles River Watershed Association’s Free Fun Friday is sponsored by the Hamilton Company Charitable Foundation and the Highland Street Foundation, and is a part of the foundation's Free Fun Friday summer program

Participants will have the chance to enjoy a myriad of events at Free Fun Friday on the Charles with the Charles River Watershed Association. Families have access to free canoeing and kayaking lessons with Paddle Boston, and will even be able to try their hand at fishing! Children can enjoy storytime in the shade and free ice cream from Ben & Jerry's, and will be able to get their hands dirty with Bootstrap Composting. There will be hands-on science demonstrations led by CRWA's aquatic scientist and science team about invasive plants, pollution, and watersheds. There will also be a cultural aspect, hosted by the Friends of Herter Park Ampitheater, who will lead everyone in sing-a-longs and dancing. Participants will have a few food trucks to choose from for lunch options and are welcome to pack their own food along for a picnic by the river. There's so much to do on the beloved Charles River, and so little time on a Friday!
