Flood Mapping & Green Infrastructure Planning

  • Bruce C. Bolling Municipal Building (or Via Zoom) 2300 Washington Street Boston, MA, 02119 United States (map)

HELP US TRACK FLOODING IN BOSTON!

We are experiencing increased precipitation during heavy rain events due to climate change, resulting in more frequent flooding than ever before. We are working with the City of Boston Office of Green Infrastructure to map locations most prone to flooding to inform policy decisions and plan green infrastructure sites.

Join our hybrid public meeting in person at the Bruce C. Bolling Municipal Building or virtually (via Zoom) to learn about the project, how you can provide input, and future efforts to build capacity among citizens and community groups that want to see more green infrastructure in the City of Boston.

Register today!

Translation services are offered via Zoom in Spanish and additional languages by request.

We’re working with the City of Boston to build a database and map of flooding impacts, focused primarily on stormwater and riverine flooding. Working with a technical team, we will select flooding hotspots for investigation and concept designs, focusing on nature-based solutions. But we need your help! Please spend a couple of minutes filling out this survey about where and when you observe flooding.
