EDUCATION & OUTREACH
Informing and supporting community members.
CRWA empowers watershed residents to learn about and support the Charles River.
A core focus of our work is to inform and empower community members in the 35 cities and towns in the watershed to take action in support of our shared mission: to protect, restore, and enhance the Charles River. It is also vitally important to CRWA to help these communities build climate resilience with nature-based solutions and accelerate climate adaptation in our watershed as a whole.
What we’re doing:
-
School Visits
Schools in the Charles River Watershed can request a visit from CRWA’s talented, energetic staff for their classroom, camp, or program to to teach their students all about our favorite river and what we do to protect it.
-
Education Resources
CRWA provides watershed residents, educators, and local officials with practical resources to help them make their homes, schools and communities more eco-friendly and climate-resilient.
Mass DEP announced this month that Harvard recently agreed to build a roughly 200-foot-long floating dock at DCR’s Herter Park in Brighton to promote public water access along the Charles River.
