  • The river can’t speak for itself. The role of CRWA has been crucial in cleaning up, protecting, and monitoring the condition of the river. CRWA’s advocacy has brought attention to threats and has proposed solutions, many of which have been implemented over the years.

  • The Charles River Watershed Association protects the natural capital of Greater Boston, enabling the river to provide an enormous set of ecosystem services, supporting everything from recreation and tourism to cooling and flood resilience.   • When our lake experienced repeated toxic algal blooms, we reached out to the CRWA for support and guidance. Unhesitantly, they responded by educating, guiding, and supporting us through obstacles and ways to mitigate them as we moved forward.
