"Cut The Crap" Water Advocates Rally for Sewage-Free Rivers (Boston Sun)

On September 8, we gathered with fellow clean water advocates on the banks of the Charles for a Cut The Crap rally demanding sewage-free rivers. We are grateful to the Boston Sun and other outlets for covering it. As our Executive Director Emily Norton noted, "Our residents have been promised a clean, healthy river for decades; it’s time to deliver. We call on our regulators to tell the MWRA, no, you cannot continue to use the Charles as a toilet."

Charles River

Charles River Watershed Association’s mission is to use science, advocacy, and the law to protect, restore, and enhance the Charles River and its watershed. We develop science-based strategies to increase resilience, protect public health, and promote environmental equity as we confront a changing climate.
