Good News! July Showers Bring Drought Improvements

We’re happy to announce that after above-average rainfall in July, drought conditions have improved from the previous Level 3, “Critical Drought”, classification to Level 2-Significant Drought. The state’s Drought Management Task Force (DMTF) will continue monitoring conditions over the coming weeks to determine whether the recent rain will lead to lasting improvements. Communities in significant drought should continue taking steps to conserve water.
