Healey-Driscoll Administration Awards $750K to Charles River Watershed

We are grateful to the Healey-Driscoll Administration for awarding ECO One Stop funds to support climate resilience and restoration projects across the watershed:

  • Boston received $370K to advance the second design phase for the restoration of Canterbury Brook and its wetlands at Mass Audubon’s Boston Nature Center, which was identified as a priority site for flood mitigation and stormwater treatment.

  • Needham received $249K to fund flood mitigation and water quality improvements at Linden Street, which serves elderly and disabled public housing residents, the sixth-grade High Rock School, and several residential properties.

  • Weston received $142K to advance Church Street and Viles Street culvert replacements to improve flow, reduce flooding, and restore aquatic passage.
