Successful BioBlitz at Fuller Brook in Wellesley

On July 16, 2025, we hosted the first of two community science environmental surveys. At the restored Fuller Brook in Wellesley, participants logged 187 observations of 98 different species. The results of this survey will be compared to those of our future BioBlitz at the degraded Cheesecake Brook in Newton.

By comparing the results of both surveys, we can determine the baseline conditions of each brook and better understand the impacts of river restoration projects on biodiversity.
