Tara serves as the Clean Water Organizer where she focuses on advancing CRWA’s Cut the Crap campaign to eliminate combined sewer overflow (CSO) systems in the Charles River watershed through stakeholder outreach and tracking.

Tara was born and raised in Alaska and spent most of her childhood in Dena’ina Ełnena (Anchorage, AK) and Vashrąįį K'ǫǫ (Arctic Village, AK). She has a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Alaska Anchorage, a professional certificate in Understanding and Operationalizing One Health from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and a graduate certificate in Natural Resources Management and Sustainable Ecosystems from Harvard Extension School. Tara will be joining Brown University in the fall of 2026 as a first-year History PhD student studying Gwich’in kinship relations with land, water systems, and the Porcupine caribou herd. On her off hours, Tara enjoys paddleboarding with her boyfriend, trying new sourdough recipes, and gardening.
