2026 Dam Busters Conference

Registration is now open for the free September 18th Dam Busters conference!

The conference will be held at the College Hall Foyer, Regis College, Weston, MA, with an optional 8:00 am site visit to the nearby Natick Dam (pre-registration for the site visit is available in the same registration form below).

This conference emphasizes a collaborative learning approach for dam removal practitioners at all career levels. The concurrent morning breakout sessions will use project case studies to discuss innovative approaches and challenges overcome on the topics of: 

(1) Emergency Dam Removal--Comparing Alternative Approaches and Outcomes; 

(2) Managing Sediment and Site Remediation; 

(3) Mitigating Potential Impacts to Infrastructure; and 

(4) Outreach and Community Engagement.

In the afternoon, concurrent training will provide an opportunity to dive deeper into the topics of: (1) project management; (2) freshwater mussels; (3) communicating the benefits of dam removal; and (4) funding for dam removal projects from less-known sources. 

This conference is free to all, including breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks, with vegetarian and vegan options available. We hope to see you there!
