Building Watershed Resilience Through Regional Collaboration

Climate change doesn’t stop at city lines, and neither should our solutions. In the Charles River watershed, over two dozen municipalities have come together to form the Charles River Climate Compact (CRCC). We are working together and taking a regional approach to protect our communities from the growing threats of extreme storms and intense heat.

Join us on Tuesday, June 16th at 6:30 PM to hear about how this team is working together to address both flooding and drought impacts.

We’ll summarize two resources:

  • Charles River Flood Model - See when and where flooding will affect your community (including specific neighborhoods and buildings) and discover how local solutions can have big impacts on reducing flood risks.

  • Drought-Resilient Landscape Design Guide - A plug-and-play template guide built to help municipalities easily plan and incorporate native, climate-resilient plantings for municipal projects. A companion piece for homeowners is coming soon!

This event will be presented and recorded in English and Spanish.

Don’t forget to continue sharing your thoughts and help us identify solutions that reflect YOUR community's needs.
