Ending CSOs: The Time Is Now! (2 of 2)

  • Charles River Watershed Association Virtual Via Zoom (map)

Join Charles River Watershed Association (CRWA) and Mystic River Watershed Association (MyRWA) for a webinar on the new draft Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) long-term control plan. The plan put forward by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) and the Cities of Cambridge and Somerville, and submitted to the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), calls for improvements but does not eliminate CSOs.

This webinar will summarize the plan and describe ways we believe it can be much stronger at reducing sewage discharges, at minimal cost to ratepayers.

The public comment period is now open until October 2026, so please join us to learn how you can advocate for a cleaner, healthier Charles River, Mystic River, and Alewife Brook.

Can’t make it? Join us on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 6:30 PM instead!
