Community Water Chestnut Removal

  • Redwing Bay Fisher Street Needham, MA, 02492 United States (map)

Join us in restoring the Charles River!

These fast-growing aquatic invasives spread rapidly across the river, reducing biodiversity, harming water quality, and impeding recreation. But with your help, we can remove water chestnuts & restore the river ecosystem.

This summer, we are focusing on the Redwing Bay area of Needham, where Water Chestnuts were first identified as a problem last summer.

You don’t want to miss out! This fun, family-friendly event is a great way to explore our watershed, meet new friends, and make a difference for our river.
