Introducing the Watershed Restoration Plan

Over the past 400 years, the Charles River and its streams have been altered and degraded, resulting in poor water quality, habitat loss, blocked fish passage, and exacerbated flood and drought events.

CRWA’s River Restoration team has developed a watershed-wide restoration plan that identifies and prioritizes opportunities to improve aquatic connectivity. Watch a recording of a webinar about the plan.

Charles River

Charles River Watershed Association’s mission is to use science, advocacy, and the law to protect, restore, and enhance the Charles River and its watershed. We develop science-based strategies to increase resilience, protect public health, and promote environmental equity as we confront a changing climate.
