Welcome, Jon!
We’re thrilled to welcome Jon Flynn as CRWA’s new Legal Director!
In this role, Jon is responsible for developing and implementing bold legal and policy strategies to conserve and restore the Charles River watershed. He has over two decades of experience as an attorney in private practice and government. In private practice, he advised clients on a wide range of regulatory compliance and government enforcement matters, including financial market reform, electric grid resilience, and renewable energy standards. In government, Jon served as a policy advisor at the Securities and Exchange Commission, where he helped to implement regulatory reforms mandated under the DoddFrank Act following the 2007-08 financial crisis. Jon also serves on the Board of the Wellesley Conservation Land Trust, volunteers as a leader with a local Scout group in Wellesley, and serves on the Board of Advisors of the Appalachian Mountain Club.
