Transforming Water Infrastructure for a Sustainable Future
May 15, 2017 | 6:00pm-7:30pm

The Impact of Your Leadership Gift

The impact of your gift from the Leadership Society supports CRWA's programs including:

Field Science: Tracking temperature, flow, and bacteria levels for 22 years, and cyanobacteria outbreaks since 2005, enabling us to advocate for the Charles with evidence and to provide real time data, informing you of your safety on the river.

Smart Sewering: Creating Community Water and Energy Resource Centers (CWERCs), or distributed wastewater-to-energy plants, which provide significant renewable power and water in a fluctuating climate, and help safeguard all of us.

Blue Cities: Implementing green approaches (e.g., rain gardens, pervious pavement, and constructed wetlands) that work with nature to treat polluted stormwater before it discharges to the Charles, while enhancing neighborhoods, connecting open spaces, reducing flooding, and restoring local groundwater.

Advocacy: Working to ensure that new and redevelopment projects incorporate science-based design, strong permits, regulations and policies that sustainably manage our water resources, and decisions that protect parklands, and enhance public access.
