Release: MWRA Plan to Continue Dumping Sewage in Boston’s Rivers Is Sent to State & Federal Regulators for Approval
For Immediate Release: On June 2, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) and the Cities of Cambridge and Somerville presented their draft Long-Term Control Plan (LTCP) to address Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs) in the Charles River, Mystic River, and Alewife Brook.

On May 17, we were joined by hundreds of community members, Rep. Steve Owens, Rep. John Lawn, and members from the Wampanoag Nation to celebrate the annual spring migration of herring into the Charles River to spawn.

On June 1, we were joined by U.S. Representative Katherine Clark to celebrate the $500,000 federal earmark she secured to improve the Town of Wellesley’s tree canopy and bolster natural stormwater management throughout the Charles River Watershed.
